2003-Present Co-Founder & Co- Director, ‚”Exposures‚” Cross Cultural Photographic Journeys for Youth. ‚”Exposures‚” brings participants from Vermont and the Bronx, traveling to the Oglala Lakota Sioux Reservation of Pine Ridge in South Dakota. The participants share photography lessons and life stories with each other expanding their artistic and cultural horizons.

1992-Present Co-Founder, President of the Board of the In-Sight Photography Project, a non-profit organization where we teach free photography courses year round to adolescents ages 11-18 years. The courses are taught to interested youths, by area photographers and advances photo students from schools where John Willis teaches. The facility includes a six- enlarger station, black and white darkroom. Students learn to use manually operated cameras, process and print their own pictures, which are then exhibited locally. The students come from all walks of life including walk-ins, referrals from state agencies, state diversion programs, and residents of an in-house psychiatric program for adolescent substance abuse.
